it was the worst decision in the history of Shadowpack. the worst! well, ok, exaggeration doesn't count here. it was only a bad decision because Icefire had been chosen to hunt by herself. how was one wolf supposed to take down enough food for the pack within a few hours? She sat madly near the pack's home entrance until the sun was over the hills; the time that wolves always leave to hunt. as she squinted at the hills ahead, an unfamiliar voice came from her side.
"I'll come with you." it was a female's voice. Icefire spun around to see a brown and white female, standing gracefully ahead and watching her as if she was dying to go. "Haven't been out in so long."
Icefire nodded and watched the new female sit next to her. "alright. if you really want to. thanks for saving my hide."
the mottled brown female just laughed lightly. "I really want to get out." she twisted her ears in a friendly manner. "I'm Leafdapple."
"Icefire. nice to meet you."
"Same here."
the sun slowly lifted up, and as it rounded the tops of the grassy mounds beyond, the 2 new friends spun around and bolted out of the forest, ready to catch something truly delicious.
